Bach & the Dance

Join Catherine Turocy, Artistic Director of The New York Baroque Dance Company, and me as we dance through the music of Bach in 8 zoom classes beginning Saturday, September 12th from 1-2pm.

 

This is an active dance class teaching basic steps and phrases for dance forms found in Bach’s music. With eight one hour classes, students can pick and choose which classes they would like to take or take the whole session. 

 

In each session I will give a brief introduction to the music at the beginning of class. Catherine will proceed to teach the dance steps of the form emphasizing rhythm, tempo and phrasing. Questions will be taken at the end of the class.

 

This is a dance class for music and dance lovers, if you can walk, you can dance! Or, if you prefer, observe and gain a new way of “seeing” Bach.

 

When: Saturdays from 1-2pm Central Time in the US, beginning September 12 through October 31, 2020

Where: At your home on Zoom!

Cost and special DBS DISCOUNT: $15 per class, but if you register through DBS it is only $10 to the DBS family!
